African Hydrogen Partnership (AHP) Establishes Representation in the U.S.
June 27, 2024GH2Clean Joins the African Hydrogen Partnership
Beverly Hills (USA), Port Louis (Mauritius) - 10 May 2024
The African Hydrogen Partnership (AHP) is delighted to announce that GH2Clean has become the first member organization from the United States to join the African Hydrogen Partnership. GH2Clean is part of the California hydrogen hub initiative.
As part of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has launched seven Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs (H2Hubs) across the U.S. and accelerated the commercial-scale deployment of low-cost, clean hydrogen. The seven H2Hubs will kickstart a national network of clean hydrogen producers, consumers, and connective infrastructure while supporting the production, storage, delivery, and end-use of clean hydrogen.
US member organizations like GH2Clean provide the AHP with access to valuable partnerships and give the AHP a stronger voice in advocating for policy changes or industry standards.
Ron R. Chevalier, CEO at GH2Clean, stated,
"As the first US-based company to join the African Hydrogen Partnership, GH2Clean is honored to be part of a collaborative effort that champions innovation and drives significant change in the hydrogen industry. The partnership allows us to contribute our expertise while also learning from the rich insights that the AHP provides. We look forward to fostering valuable connections and supporting policies that will help advance clean hydrogen both in Africa and globally. Joining forces with the AHP is a crucial step towards a more sustainable future, and we're excited to be at the forefront of this journey."
Dr Innocent Uwuijaren, AHP Chairman, said,
"We are thrilled to welcome GH2Clean to the AHP as our first member from the United States! Ron Chevalier and his team bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in energy production and innovation, and we are confident that they will be a valuable asset to the AHP."
The US is a global economic powerhouse. The White House announced, "The seven selected regional clean hydrogen hubs will catalyze more than $40 billion in private investment and create tens of thousands of good-paying jobs – bringing the total public and private investment in hydrogen hubs to nearly $50 billion."
GH2Clean is deeply committed to playing a pivotal role in the world wide transition to renewable and environmentally friendly energy technologies. Ron’s broad networks in the United States, especially in California, will enable the AHP to establish important partnerships for the development of hydrogen industries in Africa. The AHP is excited to have GH2Clean on board and look forward to their contributions to our team!”
